ABOUT MICHAEL.

Michael Reeve was born in Tasmania in 1957. Growing up on the North West Coast, at age 15 started in Newspaper/Advertising Design in his home state, beginning a long affair with commercial art.

However something else is always happening with Michael, and long bursts of creativity throughout his life underline his innate ability. 

Pen and ink fascination evolved into multi-media portraiture, more subdued pastel work - challenging the frustration of colour blindness. 

Beautiful bowls and fluid free forms come easily, wood sculpting then emerged complimenting his drawing skills together with wood carving. 

Michael’s unique ability and design flair, allow him to create carved forms and individual commissions for collectors of art & craft worldwide. He lives and works at his studio surrounded by nature, 45 minutes from Hobart.
